What are the main rules of Apas (Purity) when starting home Sewa?

I am looking to establish Sewa of Sri Balkrishna at home. Can someone explain the basic rules of Apas (purity) in the kitchen and during offering, and how strictly we should follow it?

Jai Shree Krishna. In home Sewa, the most important element is your loving emotion (Bhav). Apas (ritual purity) is meant to help keep the mind focused. Standard guidelines are: take a bath, wear fresh cotton garments, and wash all vessels with clean water. Prepare samagri while reciting the Ashtakshar Mantra. However, do not let worry or anxiety about rules spoil your love for Balkrishna. Love is the ultimate purity.
